Summer Music Camp

The Muscatine Children’s Choirs will offer their annual Summer Music Camp at Wesley Church, July 14-18, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30am each morning for children throughout the surrounding area who will have completed Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and from 9:00am to 2:30pm for children who will have completed 3rd-6th grade. Lunch will be provided each day for 3rd-6th graders. Each day will be filled with musical exploration: musical games, singing, boomwhackers... and lots more! K-2 students will prepare a program of songs, and 3rd through 6th graders will prepare the musical 'The Troubbable of Zerubbabel' for an all-camp performance on Friday, July 18, at 7:00pm at Wesley.

The camp is FREE! Registration is required. Registration for all students will be open until Monday, July 7, 2025 at 5pm, unless the maximum number of singers is reached prior to that date. Please note that for last summer's camp, registration closed for K-2 around July 1 due to meeting the maximum, so make sure to sign up early. In order to guarantee your child receives a camp t-shirt and one that fits them, please register by June 15. If your child will have just finished 3rd-6th grade, they will receive the musical script and CD prior to camp so they can practice and learn the songs ahead of time. If they are in the Muscatine Children's Choir, they will receive it on May 12. If your child is not in the Muscatine Children's Choir, please email Dan Laaveg in early-mid May to set up a time to come get the script and CD. His email is listed in the preceding paragraph.
