Our Mission

We share the mission of the United Methodist Church, which is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Our Vision

Our vision is to transform lives through hands-on ministry with children and families in need.

The Wesley Way

Wesley United Methodist Church fulfills its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ by experiencing grace, exploring truth, and expressing love.

Experiencing Grace
Experiencing Grace

We experience and share God’s grace through inviting, welcoming, and nurturing fellowship, through prayer, & diverse, heart-felt worship.

As broken and sinful people, we all stand in need of grace, the unearned love and favor of God. God calls each and every person through His Word, His Spirit, His People, & His Creation to come by faith to His Son, Jesus Christ, for salvation.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

Exploring Truth
Exploring Truth

We explore truth in order to grow in our relationship with Jesus through personal and small group Bible study, prayer, and biblical preaching.

In the Bible we come to know the love of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and discern His will for our lives. The Bible is the Word of God and the source of all Truth.

“Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” – John 8:31b-32

Expressing Love
Expressing Love

We express love for God through prayer and worship, love for each other in fellowship, and love for our neighbors in service throughout the world. Our vision is to transform lives through hands-on ministry with children and families in need.

We base our definition of love on the Bible as action rather than merely feeling. Our love for others springs out of Jesus’ love for us. Within the church community love includes both support and accountability.

[Jesus said,] “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35
